THE HISTORY OF LECTRICITY INDUSTRY IN IRAN
The first generator was imported in to Iran in year 1884 by NASER EDIN SHAH GHAJAR this generator was used in reign's court for illumination .
In year 1905 the first private civil power plant was initiated and launched in Tehran by late HAJ HOSSEIN MAHDAVI ( AMINO ZARB) with 400 KW of piston vapor kind .
This power plant provided only 6 hours 220v single phase power and 380v alterative three phase during 24 hours for units. Also since 1924 other private sectors such as flour, spinning, weave factories and some municipalities in many cities of Iran tried to initiate and launch small generators of vapor turbine and diesel kinds to provide part of city's illumination.
In year 1937 the first governmental power plant was installed with 6400KW of vapor kind by Tehran municipality in north east and out of DOSHAN TAPPEH gate ( SHOHADA SQUARE ) and after that diesel generators and vapor turbine were added . Some of these power plants were being used until 1988 to produce and supply power with launching power of AMIR KABIR dam, AlESTOM ( TARASHAT power plant ) and FARAH ABAD (be sat) until 1969 and producing sufficient power , the launched and installed power plants in
SHOHADA square turned off for ever .
Permanent museum of Iranian electricity industry since that the history of power and electricity industry in Iran was initiated with installing and utilization of generators of late HAJ AMINO ZARB factor in Tehran however to introduce its olden for people and also its evolution way over than one century in this industry , high president of ministry of power stated that local power company of Tehran take consider necessary action to establish permanent power museum in Westinghouse power plant with 10000 KW in central administration of power of Tehran in SHOHADA square .
This power plant had two vapor turbine each of them had power as 5 mega watt and its purchase contract was signed by Westinghouse company in Feb. 1956. Its operation was commenced in 8 April 1956 and after one year the power plant was utilized.
The installation and launching of these two turbines had totally 140 million RAILS and 12 years after starting , after launching of best power plant due to its noise for people , that was turned off.
In this regard the regional power company of Tehran after preparatory studies established working and operation committee in 27 Feb 1991and has
performed and executed necessary planning about attracting cooperation of all subordinated companies of ministry of power in sending power tools included:
Power plant's tools, transferring and distribution and other tools and items which are proper for this new established collection .
During years 1990-1994 one of the vapor turbines destroyed and instead it a building was established for maintenance , exhibit and of equipments , tools , documents of power industry's history and finally this power plant was inaugurated as permanent museum of Iranian power industry in 14 march 1995 .
Iranian power industry museum , is historical industrial and educational museum with over than 4500 m2 area with water spout , green space includes a perfect vapor plant unit with 5000 KW and vapor , diesel and semi diesel machines which at early of power industry appearance were being used .
Also with presenting value objects and documents it is evident that power industry has 120 years history in Iran and showing of movie about appearance of power industry in amphitheatre of museum gives more information to visitors , mean while the book of power industry history of Iran was published in year 1997 by Tehran regional power company demand which gives more information for interested.

Description of various parts of power industry museum
In open space area of museum some devices such as vapor machines, diesel generators, wind generators , gas turbines , solar batteries , various switches and transformators have been exposure .
The area of museum's salon has been divided in to two counter part spaces
- First space includes a 5000KW power plant which shall be discussed as follow.
-Second space includes 4 floors.
Ground floor includes showing saloon, museum office, documents room, objects treasury and W.C.
First floor includes the oldest illumination tools, old audio visual tools and
valuable documents about entering of first generators to Iran .
At second and third floors you can meet kind of illumination tools other power industry's devices .

Description of power plant performance
Power plant's fuel
MAZOTT ( black oil ) reaches in to tanks of factory by pumping and is stored there . Due to low temperature in winter so MAZOTT is heated before reaching to tilter and pump.
For performing this, vapor is transferred to these heaters with low pressure and increases MAZOTT'S temperature.
in this order it heats MAZOTT up to 40 or 50 c and consequently its density decreases and moves in pipe easily then after passing through filters ,MAZOTT is injected into the boiler by electrical pump and torches after pressure tank existed a by pass valve which moved high pressure toward filter .
Air
For proper burning of fuel air is needed of course this air may be blown to boiler as old but after developing of thermo dynamic science the scientists thought to use exhausted smoke' to heat water in boiler this work causes to increase power plant's efficiency .
Air is blown in to boiler by ventilator and the combusted materials such as co2+h2o+so2 and soot is sucked in to chimney by ventilator.
Feeding water of boiler
Fluid mass which causes the stored energy in fuel turn in to electrical energy is water.
Generator boilers usually work in high temperature thus impure materials in water such as and particular gas such as co2 damage boiler's pipes intensively because salts produce sediment in high temperature and close pipes gradually meanwhile the thermal exchange between water and fire decreases and
causes to explode in pipes .
Of course the narrowness of passage way causes to decrease tonnage of vapor per hour and produces some problems. Existence of gases especially oxygen is harmful because o2 is active in high temperature and oxidizes pipes' wall so the water which enters to furnace must be filtrated perfectly and its gases must be separated .
Since that the vapor is distilled in condenser, only a little water looses.
In this order pure water which is brook and duct water of around of Tehran enters into send filter to filtrate all suspended materials then goes into evaporator and provided required distilled water of boiler. Produced water passed through degasser device to separate its o2 prior entering to tank . Finally the distillated water was injected into boiler by multi layer centrifuge pumps.
Boiler
After passing of distilled water through water tank, enters to boiler by injection pumps with pressure which resulted from boiler pipes and consequently distilled water turns to vapor. This vapor is dried perfectly in super heater and its temperature increases in constant pressure then it guides to turbine.
Controlling and regulating of devices are performed by measuring devices such as pressure gauge, temperature degree safe valves, for example controlling of pressure degree and temperature of boiler are per formed by manometer and thermometer.
Vapor piping
The best method of vapor piping includes that to collect all vapors in pipes by collectors then guide to turbines.
Due this reason that a little amount of vapor is distilled during passing through pipes and due to guide this distilled water to separators a small slope must be considered in vapor pipes in vapor direction. Because if water accumulate in steam or vapor pipe it causes to produce hydraulic strikes which is dangerous .
Linking of vapor pipes must be performed correctly because vapor expands in high temperature , another issue is insulation , to prevent energy lose the transferring pipes of vapor are insulated and the best insulations are SEST and VOLCAN it and so on for measuring of water amount in boiler and observing of its level two counter part mirrors are used which one is prism like and is located top right of boiler and reflects water level's picture to other mirror which is located in bottom of the boiler .
Condenser
Vapor is turned in to water in condenser until returns to boiler. so water saved and the expense is decreased and in other side the heat returns to boiler and consequently increases the device's efficiency .
There are exist two methods to cool condensers. Cooling towers or river or natural lake, in this power plant pond is used to cool water of condenser.
Turbine
Charging of alternative turbo must not perform rapidly but it must be don gradually until the turbine devices and generators expand and normal regime could be performed .
In this power plant the vapor reaches to turbine after passing through along pipe with 400c and than enters to condenser after passing through turbine's layers to recycle ; The water amount was regulated by valves.
In charging of generator's charge the entering vapor valves increase or decrease vapor and consequently the turbine's rotation remain fix about 3000 rotations per minute.
Another part of turbine is its lubrication because lubricant greases bearings and regulates speed and turbine stoppage in high speeds more over lubricant must cool bearings so cooling lubricant issues.
Alternator stimulation
Stimulation alternator:
A device for converting of mechanical energy into electrical energy , based on this principle that if electrical conduct moves in magnetic field , electric current occurs in it .
At the beginning of launching of plant power plant stimulation alternator was used to magnetize generator's poles meanwhile alternator has important role in regulating of voltage amount of generator.
Generator:
To stimulate free electrons of copper wire a magnet should be moved around copper so this winding is made circular and is called stator and some magnets are located in a stator around rotary spindle and is called rotor and the collection is named generator and now to rotate rotor in side of stator , energy is needed and this needs to generator which these generators could be
manufactured differently and natural energies could be useful in side power plant the energy which is given by fuel to water is converted to electrical energy by turbine and generator.
